Where is my data kept?

Short answer

Everything stays on your phone, in Brizemi's own space. There's no account or sign-up; your tasks, plans, voice and calendar are never sent to us or anyone else.

Steps

  1. On Today, tap the gear icon at the top right to open Settings.
  2. Tap Help & privacy.
  3. The lines under Privacy & about sum up what stays where.
  4. For the full text, tap Privacy Policy.
  • No account. You never sign in, and there's no record of you on a server of ours.
  • What stays on your phone: your tasks, plans, Parked things, notes, settings, learned lengths and the app's own backups.
  • Your calendar stays in your calendar. Brizemi reads it on the phone to build the plan; it writes to a calendar only if you turn on Write my plan to a calendar.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and no ads or tracking.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we only see on the phone which plan is active.
  • Nothing reaches us unless you choose to e-mail us.

Is my voice recorded?

No. Your speech is turned into text on your phone, by the phone's own speech recognition. Audio is never stored or sent anywhere; only the text stays in the app.

How do I back up and restore?

Brizemi makes a backup on the first open of each day and keeps the last 7 on your phone. In Settings → Backup & data you can back up now, save a backup to a file and restore it.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Backup & data → Delete all data removes everything Brizemi keeps on this phone, after two confirmations. To clear only the learned lengths, Reset what I've learned is enough.

How do I move to a new phone?

Brizemi has no account and no sync. Your plans move with your phone's own backup or with a Brizemi backup file; Pro comes back with the same Apple Account or Google account.
