Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026 · Brizemi for iPhone and Android, version 1.0 and later
Who makes Brizemi
Brizemi is made by Kolay Hayat. You can reach me at support@brizemi.com. In this policy "I" and "me" mean the developer.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything below is stored in Brizemi's own space on your iPhone. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else.
- What you say or type when you dump your thoughts.
- iOS turns your speech into text on your iPhone. The audio is never saved to a file and never sent anywhere.
- The text is kept with that dump only until you accept the plan ("Looks good"), and never longer than 24 hours.
- Task cards. They are made on your iPhone in one of two ways. When Apple Intelligence is available, Apple's on-device model makes them. Otherwise Brizemi's own offline rules do.
- Plans, Parked things, day notes and settings. These live in the app's storage.
- Places you add to tasks. If you like, you can type a place for a task (like "Gym" or "Office").
- It is only the text you type. Brizemi never uses where you are (GPS), never asks for location permission and never searches a map.
- The place stays with that task on your iPhone. It never goes into widgets, the Live Activity or notifications.
- A calendar event's own location is only shown on screen, never stored.
- Your calendar.
- With your permission, Brizemi reads your calendars to plan around your events.
- It never changes your calendar.
- Learned breathing room. When you mark things done or let them run long, Brizemi learns how long similar things take you.
- To spot repeats, it keeps one common word (like "groceries"), never a full task name.
- Anything older than 90 days is dropped.
- Turn it off with Settings → "Learn from your days". Erase it with "Reset what I've learned".
- Widgets, Live Activity and controls. Brizemi passes today's plan to its own widgets through a shared folder on your iPhone.
- "Hide titles" keeps task names off the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island and widgets.
- The Live Activity stays off until you turn it on, and it has no server connection.
- Notifications. They are scheduled on your iPhone. There is no push server.
- Usage counts (for example, how often you used Rescue). They are used to decide when to ask for a rating.
- What you got done. Your done things and what you add with “I did something else too” show only on your iPhone. They are never sent or shared.
Apple services Brizemi uses
Some features run through Apple, under Apple's privacy policy:
- Purchases and subscriptions. Apple handles payment, renewals, cancellations and refunds. Brizemi only checks on your iPhone which plan is active. I never see your payment details or your Apple Account.
- Siri and Shortcuts. When you use a Brizemi phrase, Siri handles the voice request. Brizemi receives the action on your iPhone.
- Speech and language models. iOS may download a speech model for your language from Apple once. Apple Intelligence runs on your iPhone.
- Ratings. Brizemi uses Apple's standard rating prompt.
- Maps. If you tap "Open in Maps" next to a task or an event, only that place name is handed to Apple Maps, which searches for it. Nothing goes anywhere unless you tap it.
- Crash reports and App Store statistics. This only happens if you turn on "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple may then share crash reports and combined statistics with me. They don't include your tasks, plans or calendar, and you can switch this off in iOS Settings.
- Backups. If you back up your iPhone (iCloud Backup or a computer), Brizemi's data is included like any other app's. I can't access your backups.
Brizemi on Android
Brizemi for Android follows the same rules: no account, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. What you plan stays on your phone. Where Android works differently:
- Voice. Android's on-device speech recognition turns your speech into text on your phone (Android 12 and later). The audio is never saved to a file and never sent anywhere. Android may download a speech language pack from Google once.
- Task cards. Brizemi's own offline rules make them on your phone.
- Your calendar. With your permission, Brizemi reads the calendars on your phone to plan around your events. It never changes them.
- Purchases and subscriptions. Google Play handles payment, renewals, cancellations and refunds, under Google's privacy policy. Brizemi only checks on your phone which plan is active. I never see your payment details or your Google Account.
- Crash reports and statistics. If you've allowed your phone to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google Play may show me crash reports and combined statistics. They don't include your tasks, plans or calendar.
- Backups. If Android backup is on, Brizemi's data is included like any other app's. I can't access your backups.
- Permissions. You can turn off the microphone and calendar in Android Settings → Apps → Brizemi → Permissions. Brizemi still works: you can type instead of talking and plan without a calendar.
- Deleting your data. Android Settings → Apps → Brizemi → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall Brizemi.
What Brizemi never does
- No account and no ads.
- No tracking: no advertising identifier, no fingerprinting.
- No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, and no data brokers.
- No training of any AI model on your data.
If you e-mail me
The only personal data that reaches me is what you send by e-mail, either from this website or from Settings → Help → "Write to the founder" in the app.
- What I receive:
- your e-mail address, and your name if your mail app adds it;
- your message and any attachments you add.
If you send the draft from the app, I also receive the app details printed under the line "---":
- app version and iOS version;
- language and App Store country;
- how many times you used Rescue;
- a range of planned days and your learning stage;
- whether the on-device model or the fallback makes your cards;
- your plan (free, yearly, monthly or lifetime).
You see all of this in the draft before you press Send. It never contains your tasks or your calendar.
- Why: to answer you, and to fix and improve Brizemi. Never for advertising or newsletters.
- Health information: please don't send any; you don't need it to get help. If you do, my first reply asks for your explicit consent to use it only to answer you (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). Without that consent I delete that part right away; with it, I delete it when our conversation ends.
- Where it's stored: e-mail to support@brizemi.com is forwarded by Cloudflare's e-mail routing to my mailbox, where it stays. These services may process and keep messages on servers outside your country. If you're in Türkiye, see the KVKK notice.
- How long: 12 months after our last message. Then I delete it.
- Legal basis (EU and UK): two grounds apply. Answering you is my legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). For questions about a purchase, it is part of our contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything in the app: Settings → "Delete all data" (it asks twice). Deleting the app works too. Copies inside your iPhone backups follow your backup settings.
- Learning: Settings → "Reset what I've learned", or switch off "Learn from your days".
- Permissions: you can switch off the microphone, speech recognition, calendar, notifications and Photos (add only) in iOS Settings → Brizemi. Brizemi still works: you can type instead of talking and plan without a calendar.
- Your e-mails: write to support@brizemi.com to see, correct or delete the e-mails you sent me. I answer within 30 days.
- In the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
- In Türkiye you have the rights in KVKK Article 11 (see the KVKK notice).
- I hold no app data, so I can't look up, export or restore your plans. They exist only on your iPhone.
Children
Brizemi is a planner for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country. The app collects no personal data from anyone, children included. If a child has e-mailed me, a parent can ask me to delete that message.
Security
iOS protects the data on your iPhone with Data Protection and your passcode. Widget files can be read after the first unlock, so that Lock Screen widgets work. My support mailbox uses a strong password and two-factor sign-in.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Some changes would affect what leaves your iPhone, for example a new feature that sends data. For those, I'll tell you in the app and in the App Store release notes before they apply, and ask for your permission where it's needed.
