Getting started

Does Brizemi work without a calendar?

Short answer

Yes. Without a calendar, Brizemi plans inside your day hours. Say a time for anything fixed and it goes at that time; you can connect a calendar whenever you like.

Steps

iPhone

  1. During setup, tap Take this day without tapping Add calendar.
  2. On Today, tap the gear at the top right to open Settings, tap Day & plan, and set Day starts and Day ends.
  3. For anything at a set time, say the time in your dump, for example "dentist at 3 pm". The card goes at that time.
  4. To connect a calendar later, tap Connect on the band on Today, or go to Settings → Calendar & Reminders → Connect calendar.

Android

  4. To connect a calendar later, tap Connect on the band on Today, or go to Settings → Calendars → Connect calendar.

Without a calendar, Today shows the band "Calendar not connected. Plans may overlap your events." Brizemi then knows only what you tell it and your day hours; it can't see your meetings.

Your day hours start as 9:00 to 23:00. Brizemi plans only inside them, and the day needs at least 2 hours.

Things that happen at the same time every day, such as tea breaks or prayer times, can be added as fixed blocks on the Day & plan page. Brizemi never moves them.

If you do connect a calendar, Brizemi only reads your events and never changes them. Rescue works the same without a calendar, and it's always free.
