Can I add a place to a task? What about travel time?

Short answer

You can add a place to any task as plain text and open it in your maps app with one tap. It stays on your phone. Brizemi doesn't calculate travel time on its own, so leave room for the trip yourself.

Steps

  1. On Today, tap a block to open its details. While you sort cards, you'll find the same option in a card's ••• menu.
  2. Tap Add location.
  3. Type the place, or pick one from Recent places.
  4. Tap Done.
  5. To go there, open the block and tap Open in Maps.
  6. To change or clear it, tap the place, then edit it or tap Remove location.

A place is plain text, up to 60 characters: no map search, no GPS and no location permission. It shows next to the time on Today and stays on your phone. Widgets, notifications and the lock screen don't show it. Nothing goes to a maps app unless you tap Open in Maps.

Calendar events show their own location the same way. A video call link doesn't count as a place.

Brizemi doesn't work out travel time between places. To leave time for a trip, add the trip as its own thing with a time, for example "leave for the dentist at 17:15". On a day you spend on the road, the Traveling status keeps expectations low.

Tap a block on Today and use Change length to add or take away 5 minutes at a time. If something running needs more time, tap Need a bit more on the Now card; to keep a block where it is, turn on Pin the time.

Breathing room is the extra time Brizemi leaves in your day, because things often take longer than you think. You pick Less, Usual or More, for today or for every day.

How do I connect my calendar?

Brizemi reads the calendars on your phone and plans around them. Allow calendar access, add your Google or Outlook account to the phone if it isn't there, and choose which calendars count.

How do I set a status for the day?

From the status chip on Today you pick Sick, Traveling, Busy shop or Post-shift. That day Brizemi expects nothing more from you and sends no notifications; the status clears at midnight.
