A thesis writing day
For anyone writing a thesis or a long paper: the morning belongs to writing, small jobs move to the afternoon, and you go into the supervisor meeting prepared.
Thesis day. First thing, I write chapter three, three hours, nothing else in between. For chapter three: finish the methods section, add the table, check the sources. Meeting with my supervisor at 2:30, half an hour. Write down my questions for her before that. Sort out the reference list, an hour. Put the survey data into the table. Renew my library books. Call Mum in the evening. Look at the footnotes in chapter two if there's time.
Paste it into Dump in Brizemi, or say it in your own words. Change the times and things to fit you.

Tips for this day
- Add Steps inside the chapter card: "methods section, table, check sources". The three-hour block stays one card, and you see your progress step by step.
- Turn on Focus while you write and pick 50-minute rounds with 10-minute breaks; three rounds fill the morning. Rounds are free in the app.
- Put your submission date on a card as its due date; Brizemi makes room for it in your plans before that date. Due date heads-ups are Pro.
- If the writing runs over, tap Rescue: the meeting stays where it is, and the questions and the reference list settle around what's left.
Why this day is built this way
When you write something long, the morning is what disappears first: email, then the library, and writing gets the scattered hours left in the afternoon. This day gives the first three hours of the morning to chapter three and nothing else. Small jobs like renewing library books go in the short gap after the writing is done.
The supervisor meeting has a fixed time, so half an hour of preparation goes just before it, and you walk in knowing what to ask. The reference list and the data entry need care, but not the same kind as writing, so they sit in the afternoon. The chapter two footnotes didn't fit today; they wait in Parked and come up after tomorrow's writing block.
If you have this day often

A guide on this
Questions people ask
Isn't three hours of writing in one go too much?
The card is three hours, but it has rounds inside. With Focus at 50 minutes on and 10 off, the morning becomes three shorter stretches; the breaks are part of the plan.
I write every day. How do I set this up again each morning?
You can paste the dump in again each morning. If you want the writing block on every day automatically, Repeats and Ready routines are in Pro.
