A calm morning routine day

For anyone who wants to start the day without rushing: the morning routine comes first, the hardest task gets your freshest hour, small things come later.

Brain dumpToday
I want a calm start today: water, shower, get dressed, breakfast, no rushing.
Team call at 9:30, half an hour.
Before that I'll write the first section of the report, an hour.
Emails, half an hour.
Water the plants, and pick up the parcel around noon.
Sort out the wardrobe if there's time.

Paste it into Dump in Brizemi, or say it in your own words. Change the times and things to fit you.

How to use it

  1. 1

Copy the dump, or rewrite it with your own things.

  2. 2

Open Dump in Brizemi and paste; the things become cards. Sort them into Must, Could and Park.

  3. 3

Brizemi builds the day around your calendar, with breathing room in between. When the day slips, tap Rescue.

Tips for this day

  • If you don't want to type the same steps every morning, add the morning routine from Ready routines (Pro): water, wash, get dressed, breakfast. Without Pro, say "morning routine" in your dump and add Steps to the card; Steps are free.
  • Mark the report as Tiring; Brizemi puts tiring work at your energy peak. You can change that time under Day shape in Settings.
  • If the morning runs long, tap Rescue: with Keep the essentials, the call and the report stay, and the plants and the parcel get parked.
  • You don't have to get up at the same time every day. Brizemi lays out the day from the moment you plan it.

Why this day is built this way

The hard part of a morning is rarely the tasks. It is the first hour drifting: the routine quietly runs long, the first task gets squeezed against a meeting, and you feel behind before the day has started. This day puts the morning routine into the plan as a block of its own. A routine takes time, and once the plan knows that, the first task doesn't have to fight it for space.

The first hour after the routine goes to the hardest task, because attention is usually freshest in the morning. The 9:30 call stays fixed, with breathing room before and after it, so if one runs over the other doesn't slide. Emails and small things come later. Could things like the wardrobe wait in Parked if they don't fit, and they are still there tomorrow.

If you have this day often

If this is a day you have often: when it goes well, tap "Save this day as a template" in Close the day, and next time it sets up in one tap (Day templates, Pro).

Questions people ask

Should my morning routine be part of the plan?

It helps. A routine takes time, and when the plan knows that, the first task doesn't get squeezed. Brizemi places the routine as one block and puts your first task after it.

Do I have to type my morning routine every day?

On the free version, one sentence in your dump is enough. Repeats and Ready routines are Pro; once added, the routine shows up in your plan every morning on its own.

When the day slips, rescue it in one tap

Brizemi turns what's on your mind into a realistic day and rebuilds the rest when the day falls apart. Rescue is always free.
