TickTick alternative: Brizemi builds your day for you
TickTick puts tasks, a calendar, a focus timer and habits in one app; Brizemi looks at one thing: the plan for today. You say or type what's on your mind, and Brizemi builds a realistic day around your calendar, with breathing room in between. When the day slips, one tap rescues the rest of it. If you want everything in one place, stay with TickTick; if building the day and fixing it when it slips wears you out, try Brizemi.
The difference in short
In TickTick, tasks live in lists and you build the day on the calendar: you drag tasks in and give them a duration. When the day slips, you look at the suggested tasks in Today and postpone the rest by hand. Since autumn 2026, Premium also includes an assistant that can suggest a plan for your free hours.
Brizemi starts from the other end. First comes the day: your meetings, the school run, the commute. What you say or type turns into cards. You sort them into Must, Could and Park, and Brizemi places what fits into the open time. What doesn't fit waits in Parked. When the day slips, you tap Rescue and pick one of three ways: keep the essentials, a lighter day, or move it to tomorrow. You see the new day first, and one tap undoes it. All of this happens on your phone, with no account.
What TickTick does well
Lots of people love TickTick, and for solid reasons:
- Everything in one app. Tasks, a calendar, Pomodoro, habit tracking and countdowns.
- Focus tools. A Pomodoro timer and stopwatch, white noise and focus stats.
- Habit tracking. Five habits on the free plan, many more with Premium.
- Views. List, Kanban, Eisenhower matrix and calendar; a timeline with Premium.
- It runs everywhere. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, the web, Apple Watch and Wear OS.
- Calendars. Two-way sync with Google Calendar with Premium, and subscriptions to iCloud and Outlook calendars.
- Students get 25% off the yearly plan.
Who should switch to Brizemi
- You're tired of dragging tasks onto the calendar and setting durations every morning.
- When the day slips, you'd rather have the rest of today rebuilt around your calendar in one tap than postpone things yourself.
- You want a calm screen with fewer options.
- Your attention wanders easily, and an app with many features feels heavy.
- You want everything on your phone, with no account.
- You'd rather pay once than subscribe.
Who should stay with TickTick
- You use habit tracking and its charts. Brizemi has no habit tracker.
- You rely on focus stats, white noise or strict mode. Brizemi's Focus is simple.
- You work with Kanban, the Eisenhower matrix or a timeline.
- You work on a computer or the web and need everything in sync. Brizemi has no web or Windows app, and no sync between devices today.
- You share lists with other people. Brizemi is for one person.
You can also use both: your habits stay in TickTick, today's plan lives in Brizemi.

How to move your list today
There is no automatic import from TickTick today. Brizemi doesn't connect to TickTick or sign in to your account. Here is what works now:
- Don't move everything. Pick what matters for the next few days. The rest can stay in TickTick as an archive for a while.
- Say or type it during setup. The first brain dump and your first planned day are free. Say the things you picked, or type or paste them one per line. Brizemi makes up to 15 cards from one dump and builds your first day; what doesn't fit waits in Parked.
- Add the rest one by one. Typing things into Parked or today, one at a time, is free.
- Share with Pro. If TickTick lets you share the text of a task or a list, pick Brizemi in the Share menu. Up to 15 things land in Parked per share. On iPhone you can also share screenshots of your list (up to 5 at a time); the text is read on the phone and the images aren't kept.
- Apple Reminders on iPhone. If your things are also in Apple Reminders, "Bring from Reminders" turns them into cards (Pro).
To empty your head before you plan, read what a brain dump is; for days that break, see what to do when your day falls apart.
Focus and Rescue in Brizemi
It's 2:00 PM and your 90-minute block for the report has started. On the Now card you tap Focus: a 25-minute round, then a 5-minute break. The rounds fit inside the block, so the plan doesn't shift. If you need to take a call, you pause, and the time left is spread out again. If the 3:30 meeting runs long, you tap Rescue, and the rest of the day is rebuilt around what's fixed. Anything that no longer fits waits in Parked.
Get Brizemi for iPhone or Android. No account, and Rescue is always free.

Questions people ask
Does Brizemi have a Pomodoro timer?
Brizemi has Focus: rounds of 25 + 5 or 50 + 10 minutes inside a planned task's block, for free. The rounds fit inside the block, so the plan doesn't shift. There are no focus stats, white noise or a separate timer screen; if those matter to you, TickTick offers more.
Does Brizemi track habits?
No. Brizemi has simple repeats: every day, weekdays or once a week (Pro). There are no streaks, scores or counters. If you want to follow your habits on charts, TickTick does that better.
Can I import my TickTick tasks into Brizemi?
There is no automatic import today. During setup you can say or type the things that matter, and adding things one by one is free after that. With Pro you can share text from another app into Brizemi, and on iPhone a screenshot too.
Do I need an account for Brizemi?
No. There is no account, and your plans stay on your phone. That also means there is no sync between devices today; a new phone gets your plans from a backup.
